nonprofits: why are you ignoring this $10k monthly gift? π
Did you know? In 2022, Google Ad Grants gave more than $1.8 billion worth of Search ads to non-profits worldwide! π That's huge!
π A Bit of History: In 2003, Google donated its first Search ads to the March of Dimes nonprofit organization. This was very early in Google's history and even then we already recognized how useful digital ads could be in helping organizations connect with new people and reach their objectives.
π€ The Big Question
Something's been on my mind lately, and I just can't wrap my head around it. Why are so many non-profits not signing up for Google for Non-Profit program? It's like they're leaving free opportunity on the table! π°
What I don't get is:
Why aren't more non-profits signing up? π€·ββοΈ
For those who did sign up but gave up on using Google Ad Grants - what happened? π
π Most 501c3 organizations can get this. If you're not sure if your org qualify, just check this form. It's easy!
π The Amazing Opportunities
It's such an amazing opportunity, you know? π
Google Workspace
Think about it - free Google Workspace for up to 2,000 people! π₯ That's like having a super-powered enterprise-level collaboration suite in the cloud, and it doesn't cost a dime!
Ad Grants
And let's talk about those Ad Grants. $10,000 of in-kind advertising monthly for Google search? That's a massive opportunity for awareness and outreach! π You could significantly amplify your message and reach so many more potential donors and volunteers.
YouTube for Non-Profit
Oh, and there's also YouTube for Non-Profit! π₯ This gives you:
Access to YouTube Creator Academy (learn how to make great videos!)
Special features like link cards
Chance to be featured on the social impact feed π
People usually search Google and YouTube before donating to an organization. So having a presence there can really boost your reach and reputation! π
π§ The Puzzling Part
I keep wondering:
Is it because they don't know about it? π€
Or maybe it seems too complicated? π§©
Or are they worried about hidden costs? πΈ
If you've tried it and stopped, I'd love to know why. Was it too hard to manage? Did you feel like it wasn't working?
π‘ My Thoughts
I just feel like every non-profit could benefit from this. It's free tools to help do more good in the world! Who wouldn't want that? πβ€οΈ
